I had always adored leather jackets and I see them as a fashion essential. Bikers, rock stars, punks, metal heads and goths usually wear leather jackets probably because of the intimidating look that these jackets create and the protection that they give. But for a non-goth fashionista, a leather jacket means cool. It transforms an outfit into something incredible.

Living in the tropics gives me an excuse not to wear leather jacket; the temperature usually hits as high as 40-42 degrees in this country and thus sporting a leather jacket is hardly an opportunity.
