It's official - Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta and tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi are engaged. Bollywood actress Lara Dutt and Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi made their relationship official by getting engaged last week in New York. They for the first time came in the public notice together giving an indication that they are couple in love. Later they also attended the IIFA awards in Sri Lanka in June together. Then on February 27 this year, Lara and Mahesh made their first official appearance as a couple at the Filmfare Awards in Mumbai. For a long time the couple denied rumours of involvement, perhaps waiting for Mahesh's divorce to come through. This morning Bhupathi confirmed the news by tweeting, 'Lara and I got engaged in NY last week. So, its official now.' Congratulations to the couple.
