I think that it is becoming a fashion for celebrities to maximize their fame by creating their own fashion line. Why not? Wouldn't people check something or just anything about anyone famous? Most girls wonder what their favorite celebrity wears and where she shops. Certainly, these same girls would check this celebrity's designs if she starts her own line.
But I think that not because someone is famous she would immediately make a great designer. Maybe yes, maybe no.
Thus it is important to evaluate fashions designed by celebs in an objective way as we would evaluate other designers especially the amateur ones.
Today, let us take a look at some styles designed by Nicole Richie. She is said to have the love of ethereal flowing clothes: easy to wear, simple, yet romantic and feminine at the same time, vintage and classic with a modern ease. She has created the line "Winter Kate" - great ultra feminine bohemian fashion.
If you would ask me, I do love her styles. Indeed, they are free flowing and easy to wear garments. Even with just the look of them, you can feel their texture on your skin. You can imagine how freely you can move in them and in a very sophisticated way at that. However, since they reflect vintage designs, these styles are actually not new. They are something I can as well get from any Bangkok's night market. But I believe their material must be something much more fun to wear.
Much interesting is the thought of how Winter Kate by Nicole is said to allow pieces like the bed jackets and kimonos or shells to be worn with jeans or cocktail dresses.
