Inject culture into your summer fashion wear

Indian Kurta, Mexican stripes, Batik print, Bohemian dress and a sunset cocktail in the Sahara, they’re entirely fabulous. I wonder if this thought occurred to Carie Bradshaw before they - Carie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda - flew to the United Arab Emirates to shoot the very controversial “Sex and the City 2”. Instead of dressing up like dolls which arguably belong in the playroom, some culture inspired summer fashion wear would also be perfect either for Sahara or Morocco.

Through my lovely style feeder, I woke up this morning with a very good question: why not inject culture into your summer fashion wear? Indeed, why not?

Peru fashion is said to be scarce and used to be hard to reach fashion. You had to travel all the way to Peru just to get your copy of traditional Peruvian style - tall high landers hats and colorful crafts that essentially cater the taste of young girls.

All the rage summer cutouts

Did you girls ever consider stunning people through your back? Probably, even the most gorgeous dress you have in your closet creates a statement mostly through its front view. But what about its back? Are you tired of a mundane plain back? It's time to let your back speak for you. Cover your cleavage, you don't need it because what is hot right now is something that's all about your back story.

Should you go bright and basic for your summer outfit?

What I love about having a style feeder is having someone feed me with styles to try on. Today, I woke up realizing that perhaps, going bright and basic for summer is a good idea.

The key for bright and basic color outfits is an accessory in a striking, notice-me hue.

Laid-back summer dress inspirations

What inspiration do you have for your summer outfit girls? Are you done with your quest for a summer look with edge? Summer dress continues to prove me great for the season.

I did not mean to leave my blog deserted for days, however, I just did. The turmoil in our city is extremely depressing that no matter how I wanted to write, I remained numbed in front of my laptop seeing how this lovely city that I adore is fighting severe destruction.

I almost succumbed to tears with the fact that is as hard as stone to swallow, my most favorite shopping mall, the Central World of Bangkok, just only after a year of being built anew, was set ablaze. Thanks to the red shirts’ act of terrorism; we call them “the arsons”.

And yet, after days of staring blank upon my laptop, I knew I can’t go on like this. I may be distressed but that doesn’t mean I can do anything, or perhaps, I can’t do nothing.

I need to get back my inspiration. Sometimes, it’s overwhelmingly abundant. Sometimes, it lightly flies off the window. But I realized I just need dresses to bid my sadness adieu. And what better way is there but to find these inspirations just sitting in my email, waiting patiently to greet me “hello”.

Summer dresses by Soft Joie gives summer a new definition. A girl doesn’t have to be hyper-active during this season. She can be laid-back too. Laid back glamour has actually an edge. They create fresh and effortless look on-the-go for any carefree abandon.

Tips for your best summer dress!

summerdress1

Less and less we feel chilly, less and less smoke comes out the chimney. Yay! Summer is approaching. The big sun is coming. Such great news! Now brace yourself for the next move, Summer Dress hunting! It’s time to add your wardrobe with the best summer dress you can find. But take heed, as you do so, there are things you might want to consider:

Go flowery. I don’t know if you girls noticed but it’s just weird wearing something flowery during winter. You layer and layer but you stick with mostly plain dark colors. I don’t ask why. It is, so that more heat is preserved. But we don’t need such heat during summer, right? Therefore we go for a combination of bright or light colors. We basically get the mix of bright colors through flowery or printed summer dress. They give you the feel of freshness and high inspiration.

Whoops! You walk down the street and you see all the other girls in printed flowery too. Of course, you would not want to fade in the midst of all the walking colorful prints just like that. Therefore you have to consider the style. Choose the cut of your dress so that there are no other girls with the same. They may have the color, but they don’t have the style.

I would take a shoulder straps dress, cross at the back, lined with mesh for a fuller skirt, with flower prints all over such as Jack BB Dakota flower print dress. It would be a mini dress.

Go for plain single color, go orange. Maybe you don’t want to go flowery everyday. Take a single color for your summer dress. But make sure that it is orange. Orange is the most stylish powerful color among all the bright colors. It is almost black. You will never go wrong with it. It blends well with many colors. I strongly suggest accessorizing it with something black or brown. White would work too.

For my orange dress, I would want it to be a long tube dress hanging down to my feet. I would accessorize it with an elegantly waisted Kelly belt. I'd let the belt be responsible for shaping the dress.

I know you girls are so ready to start your summer dress hunting. Take my advice. If you find something similar that works, let me know where you got them.
