Killer Boots from my archives

"If I were to choose between a lovely dress and a fabulous pair of shoes, I'd take the shoes. Oh, how I love shoes!" My facebook private profile boldly screams this line. But hey, if I were to choose between an equally adorable pairs of evening shoes and boots, I'd take the boots. Of course, I would gladly take both. But if I can only get away with one, I'm leaning more for the killer boots.

Tonight, the shoeholic side of me is itching to come out. I decided to ease it by blogging about some of the boots that I found from my archives.

I wanted to give credit for this photo but I just can't remember the source.

I can just dream to buy all the boots that I fancy. I read tonight that 50% of your income can be spent for your needs, 20% for your savings and a whooping 30% for your wants. The latter percent is through the principle of "awarding yourself" first. In my case, I might as well award myself a pair of shoes every time I get my paycheck. But I'm VERY frugal. So go figure.

The good thing about fashion blogging is, I don't really have to buy all the boots that I fancy. I can just feed my eyes and when I'm done, share them to my readers.

So, my dear girls, are there any particular boots you're fancying right now?

How fashion lift my spirit when I'm stressed?

My blog looked abandoned, silenced for a week; but it wasn’t because I did not wish to write or that because I was tired, but it was because of my laptop, it broke down twice these past two weeks.
It stunned me to realize how dependent to a laptop and an internet connection I’ve become. It’s like my life depends a whole lot to it. Oh Technology, how you manipulate me?

Many things worry and stress me right now. But as a female and a fashion addict, can you guess what lifts my spirit?

Shoes!

These python-embossed leather booties from Shopbop is made in Italy. I adore its drape front and I think that I'm loving open toes a lot lately. Must it be because it's summer?

Steal Barbie’s Pink Boots via Old Gringo

It must be my love for Barbie dolls that made me lean more towards pink; however, I must confess that either going kind’a plain Jane just for the sake of pink or going too pinky manifesting a doll’s outfit is not really my style. It’s either Jane belongs in the jungle or a doll belongs in a playroom. But wait, I discovered very recently Old Gringo and their collection of pink cowboy boots.

Old Gringo created a new definition of pink not as a color but as a fashion statement by itself. Not only did they create adorable boots in different shades of pink, they also crafted their boots with a goal of merging together style and comfort. Perhaps their designers believe that girls are not meant to suffer just to look stylish.

Determined to bridge the gap between western style and pure fashion, Old Gringo created designs that are original collection of vintage and retro styles. Take a look at these pink boots that I picked from their rich selection of boots and booties. Give close attention to their details, shade of leather – just how perfect the leathers were tanned, and how carefully these boots were crafted.

Don’t worry girls, wearing these pinks won’t make you look like a doll that belongs in a playroom, not at all, but these boots would definitely echo your mind, that you take style very seriously!

How to dress for a stroll in a field

When your city is engulfed with turmoil dividing people and shattering lives, you cannot bear to see. You close your eyes and press your lips ‘cause you know that there is nothing you can do to break free. For days you lock yourself behind curtains, sheltered and unharmed, but bored. Gone are all the alluring signs abound, enticing shopping malls and processions of fashionistas strutting back and forth in the streets when the pavements are no longer baked by the sun’s shimmering spikes. Such is the fate of the City of Angel for months now and it’s sad.

CIMG2618

When your dream city turns into nightmare, flee to your field of dreams. Get your suitcase and pack for things just enough for a stroll in the up-country where there are no guards to stop you, no bombs and no maddening fire.

CIMG2618a

Look for a secluded meadow. Feel the breeze and like a bird spread your wings. Who wouldn’t love the taste a golden day of sunshine? Absorb it. Not everyone is as blessed as you.

But while you do so, enjoying your carefree abandon, make sure that you are dressed for the occasion. Take your best ankle boots or your most comfy casual shoes. You might love to take a pair of black or white sandals? Or even red? Go ahead. You’re out of the city and nobody’s going to notice that you’re in red. Go for an ESTIMATE floral-print blouse. Or if you’re on the mood, wear this very lovely JOURNAL dress. But whatever you'd wear, you're the one who decides for the occasion.

I'm loving stilleto boots

While my little bunnies are running around my room chasing each other bumping into walls, I am here feeling so excited to see these rare creation of human hands. So fabulous stilletos. I have these obsession towards shoes, extreme love almost uncontrollable i call myself shoe fetish.

When the time comes that I would have to leave this city, I would have only one problem. How am I suppose to bring with me all my shoes?

Regardless, any of these lovelies undoubtedly would be more than welcome to join my collection.

A happy new year's gift: so lovely boots

Hello girls. With so much guilt from such a long absence, I greet everyone a happy new year. Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful time and had enjoyed the vacation. I had a good time myself although being unable to blog the entire vacation was not part of the plan.

Anyway, for a glimpse on some of my fashion from the vacation, I show off in this post the very wonderful boots that I got from Chaps [CPS]. Girls, believe, they are so breath-taking. I was not planning to get them. I was on my way to the counter to pay for my honey's t-shirts when I saw them on the rack. I was entirely mesmerized. Boyfriend was finding me wondering what took me long; then he saw me trying on these lovely boots. Seeing them on me, he said "Go, get it."

Alright, so it's really really late now, gotta go to bed. Hope to catch you all and visit tomorrow. lovely!

If you could dress up like Candy

We say that we identify ourselves through our friends. Indeed, I identify myself through them. They are few, chosen few who share my interests and who reflect the big part of me.

I love fashion and I am addicted to it. Thus basically, my very close friends share this love too.

And for today's post, I am featuring the style of my good old friend Candy. We were college friends. We used to trade outfits and run sack one's closet. We were of the same size for clothes and shoes. We were an exact reflection of taste. But as we matured, each has developed her own better style and identity.

We have not seen each other for five years now. But thanks to facebook we got connected again.

This photo was taken when we were in our second year college. This was the magic five [I and Candy were both in white]. I am not the shortest, mind you, but in this photo, I was bare footed because I played Titania, the queen of fairies in Shakespear's "Amidst Summer Night's Dream". The others were in high heels.

Fashion Don't! J.Lo's unnecessary

I am an avid fan of this Puerto Rican actress/singer/fashion designer named Jennifer Lopez and I always admire her style. However, in this outfit, she seemed to undermine the principle "less is more". That dress is terrific and that would make a statement even without those black boots. Therefore, I do think that the boots aren't necessary. They, matched with the dress, made her look stout and short.

Should a young woman not wear dark leopard print dress?

"I was told that a young woman shouldn't wear a dark leopard print dress. That would make her look like an old matron. Great! That is something worth disproving. " ~ Gleenn of Creative Fashion

A stolen shot sometimes is adorable; when a natural, bright smile is captured even for a not perfect smile.

So, should a young woman not wear a dark leopard print dress?

I'd say why not? But it's important to balance the color with either a light shawl/scarf or a cardigan.
