“I was deeply inspired by the theme of the film,” confesses Shruti who’s shot a promotional video album which carries the essence of the hard-hitting film. “The idea was certainly unique. The film provided a lot of scope for enchanting music,” she remarks.
A trained musician, Shruti says she composed a couple of numbers keeping the audience in mind. “If we had a duet, it should have been shot between Kamal Haasan and Venkatesh. Doing the background score was challenging though,” she avers.
After a cameo in Hey Ram and a Bollywood debut (Luck) that didn’t woo the BO, does Shruti feel let down? “I have no regrets. I was satisfied with my role in Luck, and I am proud of the film. The fact that the film didn’t do well can’t take away my hard work,” she says with a nonchalant shrug.
