Most 19-year-olds spend their days stocking shelves at Blockbuster, but at that age Veronica ditched her home for New York City. She intended to study at Parsons School for Design, but like any woman with a perfect physique in the Big Apple, took to modeling.

Guess, Chanel, Nivea, and porn-to-the-adolescent-masses Victoria’s Secret have all asked the 5'10" stunner to shill for them. But while modeling all-stars like Jamie King and Rebecca Romijn parlay their careers into big-screen roles, Veronica knows that with great looks does not always come great acting ability. “I have respect for the craft,” she once explained, “but you can’t be an artist if it’s just not in you.”

Unfortunately for men everywhere, Veronica is off the market. In 2004 she married hockey player Petr Nedved, a center for the Philadelphia Flyers. The lucky pucker proposed to her on Prague’s stately Charles Bridge, but not before putting in some serious work to make the score. “I didn’t really like him at first,” Veronica once said, “but he was persistent to get my number, and little by little…”
